As one of the biggest advances in dentistry in the last 40 years, dental implants are a popular and effective way to replace missing teeth.
Getting a dental implant is usually broken down into three phases: First, our specially trained team surgically places the titanium implant into the jaw bone. Next, we will allow time for the bone to heal around the implant in a process called osseointegration which literally means “combines with the bone.” This process is what makes an implant such a sturdy, lasting solution, and though it can take as long as several months, it is well worth the wait. Finally, the artificial tooth or teeth are ready to be placed. In the case of a single tooth, our dentists customize a dental crown that will match the size, shape, color and fit of your previous tooth and will blend in with the rest of your smile. In order to replace several teeth, a custom-made bridge or dentures will be made to fit your mouth and your implants.
Because it can take some time for replacement teeth to be crafted, we offer temporary options so you can eat and speak normally, while also avoiding any self-consciousness while you wait for your permanent solution to be perfected!
